About This Font
A Modern Handwritten Script That Brings Joyful Movement to Your Designs Dancing Matilda is a contemporary handwritten script that radiates warmth, spontaneity, and playful energy. Inspired by the natural flow of casual journaling and modern calligraphy, this typeface features organic line weights and charming irregularities that feel authentically human. The character set strikes a perfect balance between legibility and artistic flair, offering a fresh alternative to rigid display scripts. Its relaxed baseline and fluid connections invite the viewer to linger, creating an immediate sense of approachability and creative connection. Beyond simple text rendering, Dancing Matilda serves as a powerful focal point for brands seeking a personal and emotive identity. It excels in applications ranging from wedding invitations and stationery to food and beverage packaging and lifestyle branding. Designers can leverage its rhythmic quality to add visual movement to logos, social media graphics, and editorial layouts. Whether paired with a clean sans-serif for contrast or used in isolation for maximum impact, this font infuses any project with a touch of modern sophistication and heartfelt charm.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
