About This Font
Grunt: Raw Industrial Stencil with Switchable Alternates
Grunt bursts onto the page with a gritty, hand‑crafted feel that echoes the rough edges of a construction site. Its bold, blocky strokes are cut cleanly by stencil gaps, while subtle irregularities give it an unmistakable character. The alternates, unlocked by Caps Lock, let you flip between a stripped‑down core and a more embellished version, adding surprise and versatility. This dual personality makes Grunt feel both functional and rebellious, perfect for brands that want to shout confidence without losing nuance.
Designers love Grunt for its ability to dominate headlines, badge logos, and gritty packaging. Use the standard set for stark, authoritative signage, then switch to the alternate glyphs for a splash of urban flair on posters, t‑shirts, or album covers. The stencil gaps lend themselves to distressed textures, while the caps‑locked alternates keep the design fresh across a campaign. Whether you’re building a street‑wear brand, a tech‑startup identity, or a retro‑industrial event poster, Grunt adapts without compromising its hard‑won edge.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
