About This Font
Lemota: Bold, Expressive Display Typeface
Lemota is a bold, highly expressive display typeface that injects playful energy and unconventional personality into any typographic project. Its oversized, chunky letterforms feature heavy strokes and compact spacing, creating a strong visual impact while remaining fun and approachable. The design blends rounded forms with sharp notches, unusual terminals, and asymmetric details, giving each character a distinct, dynamic identity that feels slightly experimental rather than conventionally structured. This combination of soft curves and irregular construction ensures the font stands out with a quirky, modern character.
Designed with a retro-inspired yet contemporary aesthetic, Lemota evokes the spirit of vintage posters, 1960s and 70s graphic design, and modern pop culture. It is perfect for creating spontaneous and varied compositions in playful branding, event posters, and editorial covers. The strong contrast between uppercase and lowercase scales adds depth, while the matching numerals and punctuation maintain the same bold, quirky visual language. With its exaggerated width and soft curves, this typeface allows designers to craft layouts that feel both nostalgic and fresh, ideal for projects seeking a memorable and energetic voice.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
