✦ ScriptHandwritten & flowing — perfect for invitations and logos
About This Font
Melancholia Script invites you into a world of quiet introspection, blending fluid modern handwriting with a touch of nostalgic sorrow. The letterforms flow with an organic rhythm, featuring delicate hairlines and subtle swashes that evoke a sense of gentle melancholy without losing clarity. This typeface balances elegance with vulnerability, creating a visual voice that feels both intimate and deeply personal. Every stroke is crafted to capture the nuance of human emotion, making it a powerful tool for designers seeking to convey more than just information. This versatile script is perfectly suited for high-end product packaging, where it adds a layer of storytelling to the brand identity. It shines in magazine layouts, offering a sophisticated alternative to standard serif headlines, and performs beautifully in digital contexts such as social media graphics and blog headers. For wedding invitations and stationery, Melancholia provides a romantic yet understated aesthetic that resonates with modern couples seeking authenticity. Whether used as a focal point or an elegant accent, this font elevates any project with its distinctive character and smooth, readable structure.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
