About This Font
Retro Script with Mid-Century Soul Midstar is a fluid retro script display typeface that radiates the effortless charm of the mid-century era. Each character flows with organic grace, combining smooth curves with playful swashes to create a visual rhythm that feels both timeless and inviting. The design captures the groovy spirit of the 1950s and 60s, offering a nostalgic warmth that instantly draws the eye. Its distinct personality makes it a standout choice for projects that need to evoke memories, warmth, and artistic flair without feeling dated or stiff. This versatile typeface shines in projects that demand a touch of vintage elegance and creative expression. It is perfect for crafting eye-catching vintage posters, designing iconic album covers, or building memorable branding for themed events and restaurants. Midstar also works beautifully in editorial layouts, packaging for artisanal products, and social media graphics that require a unique visual voice. By pairing it with clean, modern sans-serifs, you can create a striking contrast that highlights the font’s intricate details while maintaining overall design balance and readability.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
