About This Font
Pelaut: Rugged Naval Display Typeface
Built for the front lines of design, Pelaut is a bold, all-caps display font that radiates tactical authority and unyielding strength. Its rugged structure features solid, heavy shapes with squared-off edges that mimic the precision of steel and the urgency of warzone communications. The tight tracking and uppercase focus create a dense, impactful visual rhythm that commands immediate attention without breaking down under pressure. This typeface embodies the disciplined spirit of naval operations, offering a raw, industrial character that feels both historic and modern.
Use Pelaut to anchor high-stakes projects where boldness and clarity are non-negotiable, such as military strategy game interfaces, intense action movie posters, or patriotic recruitment campaigns. It shines when applied to team logos, intel screen graphics, or cinematic trailer titles where visual weight conveys power and urgency. Designers can leverage its sturdy forms for large-scale environmental graphics, stenciled signage, or digital overlays in first-person shooter experiences. The font’s authoritative tone ensures that your message cuts through noise, establishing a clear and dominant presence in any tactical or action-themed branding context.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
