About This Font
Starlake – Retro Script: Vintage Elegance with a Modern Twist Starlake is a hand‑drawn script that captures the carefree spirit of 70s signage while retaining crisp, readable strokes. Its flowing curves are punctuated by graceful terminal swashes that add a touch of drama without overwhelming the text. The font feels both nostalgic and fresh, making every word look like a handcrafted headline. Warm, inviting, and slightly playful, Starlike invites designers to celebrate retro charm with contemporary polish. Perfect for boutique logos, artisanal packaging, apparel graphics, and eye‑catching merchandise, Starlake brings personality to brand identities that crave a retro edge. Use the extensive alternates to craft unique lettering for storefront signs, festival posters, or social media visuals. The built‑in ligatures and swash endings work beautifully in wedding invitations, cocktail menus, and vintage‑inspired web headers. Whether you’re designing a coffee‑shop label or a limited‑edition t‑shirt, this script adds instant style and memorability.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
