About This Font
Sketchy Background feels like a spontaneous sketch pulled from a designer’s notebook, its uneven strokes and playful irregularities giving it a lively, informal personality. The letters breathe with a relaxed confidence, balancing the raw energy of hand‑lettering with just enough polish to stay readable. Its slightly imperfect edges add warmth and a human touch, making every word feel hand‑crafted and sincere. Use it when you want your message to whisper creativity while still commanding attention. Perfect for wedding invitations that need a personal flair, bold wall quotes, social‑media graphics, product packaging, and branding assets that crave a hand‑drawn vibe. It shines on labels, stationery, photography watermarks, and any project that benefits from a touch of artisanal elegance. Pair it with clean sans‑serifs for contrast or let it dominate a design for a fully handcrafted look. Its versatility makes it a go‑to choice for both digital and print applications, ensuring your work always feels fresh and bespoke.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
