About This Font
Squirl Font: Playful Cut-Paper Display Typeface
Squirl is a spirited display typeface that transforms standard typography into a handcrafted visual experience. Drawing inspiration from traditional cut-paper art, each character features bold, irregular silhouettes that feel organic and uniquely shaped. The letters possess a raw, tactile quality that breaks away from rigid grid systems, creating a dynamic rhythm across the page. This whimsical aesthetic radiates joy and energy, making every headline feel like a fresh, hand-made creation rather than a digital asset.
This versatile font shines in projects that demand high impact and approachable charm. It is an excellent choice for children’s books, educational materials, and playful branding where personality is key. Designers can use Squirl to create memorable posters, vibrant packaging for artisanal goods, and engaging social media graphics that stop the scroll. The font’s expressive structure allows for creative layouts that balance readability with artistic flair, ensuring your message stands out with warmth and character.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no export limit. The tool runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.
Will the SVG work in Cricut Design Space?
Yes — the export is a true vector path, not an image traced into one, so it uploads and cuts cleanly. The same file opens in Silhouette Studio, Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma.
Can I sell what I make?
That depends on the font, not on the tool — each font page states its licence. Many are free for personal use with a commercial licence available from the original designer, and the licence line links straight to the source.
Do I need to install the font first?
No. The font loads in the page, so you can set your text and export without installing anything. You can still download the font file separately if you want it on your system.
